On July 13, 2009, Middle Township Police responded to the Simpson Motel for the report of damage to one of their Rio Grande units.  Housekeeping discovered that furniture had been broken, graffiti was written/burned on walls and ceiling, a sink was left overflowing and the underside of a sofa bed had been set on fire.
Several of the written comments were racial and anti-semetic in nature.  Investigation led to charges
Being drawn up against 21 year old Matthew A. Sipko of Philadelphia (Pa).  On July 23, 2009 a warrant was issued against Mr. Sipko charging him with 2nd degree Bias Intimidation, 3rd degree Arson, and 3rd degree Criminal Mischief.  Bail was set at $30.000.00 full cash by the honorable JSC Birchmeier. 
The arrest of Mr. Sipko is pending.
