Quickly Placed Under Control - 97% of Pier is Unaffected

WILDWOOD -- At approximately 1:20 this morning (Monday, June 16), a fire was reported on Morey’s Mariners Landing Pier in the vicinity of the Super Scooters and the Seal Flume rides on the north side of the pier. The intense blaze was quickly brought under control and the damage was limited to the two rides. At least 11 area fire departments responded to the alarm, and an investigation is underway to determine the cause.

Both Raging Waters and Ocean Oasis Waterparks opened today at 10 AM as scheduled. Amusement rides on all three Piers will opened today at 12:30 PM.
